I have a life-long love of photography. As a young girl with my first camera I spent endless hours photographing everything that crossed my path. When my two daughters were born, I developed a passion for capturing the magical moments of their childhood. Working with my aunt and fellow artist Peg Oeltmann, an accomplished professional photographer in Nashville, I took that passion and focused it, expanding my range and technical skills.

While children are my favorite subjects, I also photograph families, seniors, corporate executives, pets, and events. My photojournalistic style is fun and relaxed with the goal of documenting the unscripted moments in life. Simply, my photography tells a story.

For me, photography documents a cherished moment in time, provides a legacy and work of art for generations to enjoy, and reveals the true spirit of the individual.

With a degree in child development and years working with children of all ages, I have a special talent for connecting with my young subjects. This helps the children I photograph to relax and be comfortable, making it easier for me to capture each child’s unique personality.

As a member of the Professional Photographer’s Association, I’m continually searching for new and creative ways to develop my talents in a fast-changing industry.
