Lisa is an award winning photographer with a life-long love of photography. As a young girl with her first camera she spent endless hours photographing everything that crossed her path. Working with her aunt and fellow artist Peg Oeltmann, an accomplished professional photographer, she took that passion and focused it, working to perfect her skills and grow creatively.
With a degree in child development and years working with kids of all ages, Lisa has a special talent for connecting with her subjects. This helps everyone to relax and be comfortable, making it easier for her to capture each person's unique personality.
Photography documents a cherished moment in time, provides a legacy and work of art, and reveals the true spirit of the individual. Lisa is a strong advocate for printing photographs so that future generations will have a visual history of family that is not lost with obsolete technology.
Lisa's photojournalistic style is fun and relaxed with the goal of documenting the unscripted moments in life. Simply, her photography tells a story.
As a member of the Professional Photographers of America, she's continually searching for new and creative ways to develop her talents in a fast-changing industry. In 2013, after years of study and practice, Lisa earned her Professional Certification and is currently working to complete her Master of Photography degree.
Lisa is an active community volunteer and contributes her time to Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep providing the gift of remembrance photography to parents suffering the loss of an infant. She also supports CURE Childhood Cancer, the Press On Fund, the Druid Hills Tour of Homes and Gardens, and Open Streets Emory Village with special event photography throughout the year.
